The committee considered resolutions designating October 3 as Korean Cultural Awareness Day, August as Black Pride Month, and September as African Immigrant Heritage Month. Councilmember Stevens described the histories and contributions recognized by the latter two resolutions, and an African Advisory Council representative testified in support of African Immigrant Heritage Month. The committee adopted all three resolutions by a 6–0 roll-call vote.
